Growing Together with Small Businesses and ACDBE’s
When we conceived of The Network last spring, we did so with the modest goal of providing a forum for small businesses and ACDBE partners to be heard in a meaningful way. We wanted to learn and grow side by side to enhance the airport experience for everybody.
After four events from coast to coast, we’ve been blown away by the response and interest – and even more amazed at how much progress we’ve already made in the initiative’s first year.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of the business community. They bring new ideas, innovations and great service to the marketplace. They’re nimble, they take great pride in their product and shake up the commercial landscape. That’s why we believe they need a seat at the table in the airports industry.
There are many challenges and barriers to entry for small businesses and ACDBEs in airports. It’s hard to get financing, line up brands and navigate the playing field. These were among the many topics we discussed at Network events in Houston, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
These events provided a platform for small business and ACDBE partners to discuss current business practices. We were inspired and, more importantly, motivated by the passion in the rooms to transform American airports.
These conversations were only the beginning. We believe we have a great deal more to offer and to learn from our partners in the small business community in 2018.
We’re in the planning stages of The Network in 2018, and if you’re intrested in getting involved, please contact Iris Messina at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together, we can do so much more!
